Previous Version in Windows Vista
Windows Vista now includes shadow copy functionality built in, which enables users to access previous versions of their documents, even when they are stored locally on their computer instead of on the network. Accessing the previous versions of a file you're working with is easy.
To access previous versions of files
* Right-click on the file (or folder), select Properties, and then click the Previous Versions tab. |

To restore a previous version of a file or folder
* Right-click the version you want, and select Restore. If there's already a file with the same name present in the folder, you have the option of keeping the original file, replacing it with the restored version, or copying the restored version using a different name. |

If you accidentally delete or rename a file or folder, you can restore a shadow copy of that file or folder, but you need to know the location that the file or folder was saved to. To restore a file or folder that was deleted or renamed, follow these steps:
The version of the file or folder is saved to the location that you selected. |
